Dorothy Young

Mrs. Dorothy L. (DeDe) Young, 91, of Frederick, MD died Wednesday, January 20, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband, Karl A. Young.

Born April 20, 1929 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late John G. Forsyth and Dorothy Miller.

DeDe was raised in Mt. Rainier, Maryland and was a graduate of Mt. Rainier High School, where she met Karl. Following graduation, she and Karl married and began their life together and raising their daughter, Karla. At the time of Karl's death 18 years ago, DeDe moved to Frederick to be near her daughter.

DeDe worked as the Director or Purchasing for AAA for many years at the headquarters in Falls Church, VA, and in Orlando, FL.

She was a loving wife, mother and sister and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her daughter, Karla A. Young; and sisters, Barbara, Betty, and Nancy.
