Michele Marie Hinkle, 45, of New Market MD, died on September 16, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital .
She was born on July 4, 1965 at St. Vincents Hospital in Bridgeport , CT. She graduated from Poolesville High School with the class of 1983. She continued her education at Montgomery College in Germantown with an emphasis on early childhood education.
Michele loved children and had a special way with them. She worked for many years at the Child Care Center at the Germantown campus of Montgomery College . In recent years, Michele devoted her life to being a mom and wife and worked part time as a Silpada representative.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, cruising, DC, watching TV, vacationing in the Caribbean and enjoying life. She was an active member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church on Opossumtown Pike
She was the loving and beloved wife of Doug and mother of Tommy, daughter of Robert J and Cathryn A Landry of Frederick, MD, sister of Bobby Landry and wife Patty of Frederick, MD, Ken Landry and wife Beth of Jefferson, MD. Daughter-in-law of Joe  and Marge Hinkle of Edgerton, Ohio, sister- in- law Kim Hinkle of Phoenix AZ, and Carla Hinkle of Bryan OH and aunt to nephews Christopher, Andrew, Trevor, Alex, Gavin and niece Kelsie. Michele is also survived by cousins and Aunts in New England . She will also be missed by close friends Teresa, Sara, and Vicki.
The family is most grateful for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Oh, Dr. Shine and the staff at the Cancer Care Center of Mt. Airy.
There will be calling hours on Sunday from 4 - 6:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Oppossumtown Pike, Frederick , MD.
Mass of Christian Burial, to celebrate her life, will be held at 11:00 AM on  Monday, September 20 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road , Walkersville , MD. with Father Keith Boisvert as celebrant.  Internment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure or to the St Katharine Drexel Church Building Fund, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick , MD 21702 .
