Zachary D.(Zac) Weiland, 15, of Woodbine died on Sunday February 22, 2009 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.
Born on April 26, 1993 in Baltimore he was the son of Lisa M. D'Andrea Weiland of Woodbine and Kirk D. Weiland of Westminister.
Zac was in the tenth grade and attended Mt. Airy Christian Academy. He played soccer, basketball, flag football and baseball. He was an avid musician and enjoyed playing the acoustic and electric guitar and the piano. He was a member of the Hebron Christian Church in Monrovia. Zac was very active in his church and mission trips, he felt his purpose in being on earth was to win souls to Christ. Zac was all about fun in everything he did, even if it was a chore or task he made it fun.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister Hannah Weiland of Woodbine. Maternal Grandparents Deanna and Roger D'Andrea of West Friendship, Maternal Great Grandmother Mary Parker of Mt. Airy. Maternal Great Uncle Alvin D'Andrea of Ellicott City. Paternal Grandparents Fran and Ron Weiland of Linthicum, Paternal Great Grandmother Mary Clever of Hagerstown. Aunts and Uncles; Michelle and Mark D'Ascenzo, Denise and Dale Mathis, Mike and Laura D'Andrea, Denise and Dave Jones and Donna and Steve Reichart.

Services: Visitation will be on Friday February 27, 2009 from 3-5 & 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville, Blvd. Mt. Airy, and again on Saturday February 28 at the Calvary Assembly of God, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD from 2:00pm until time of Funeral Services at 3:00pm. Pastor Leon Dodson will officiate. Interment will be private.
