Wyatt Haggerty

September 2, 1995 — July 22, 2017

Wyatt Blair Haggerty, 21, of Boonsboro, was killed suddenly from a tragic accident on July 22, 2017.  Born on September 2, 1995, in Frederick, he was the son Carol A. (Bunting) Haggerty and the late Daniel Joseph Haggerty.

Wyatt was on track to obtain his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Maryland next May.  He was a true comedian at heart and loved making people laugh - it came naturally to him.  He was a beautiful and kind soul.  Always very helpful, Wyatt volunteered at a local soup kitchen for a couple of years and was a big buddy at Hospice Camp Hope-N-Cope last year.  He helped others with their homework,  helped his mom and sister around the house and yard, and helped friends whenever asked, people could always count on him.  Wyatt loved to ride his bike and was an avid card and game player.  He was always innovative and so kind.  While Ashley was the love of his life, his true first love was Jolene, his car.  Wyatt was taken away from us way too soon.  He will forever be missed and loved by his family and friends.

Wyatt was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Haggerty, of Boonsboro, and his grandpa, Bob Bunting, of Homosassa FL. He is survived by his mom, Carol, and his little sister, Cheyenne, both of Boonsboro, his half-sister, Katrina, of Smyrna, TN, his grandma, Judy Bunting, from Homosassa, FL and his long term girlfriend, Ashley Merritt of Baltimore as well as many extended family members including nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.  A funeral service will follow immediately at 7:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at baststaufferfuneralhome.com.
