Willson “Skip” Wiseman, of Thurmont, Maryland passed away March 11, 2015. He was the husband of Rebecca Fortune Wiseman. Born October 13, 1950 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Willson “Sonny” Wiseman and Betty Jo Battersby.
Mr. Wiseman was a retired small business owner and enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing and antique cars and trucks. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a good friend to many and generous with his assistance in times of need.
He is survived by his three sons, Adam, Casey and Christopher and step-daughter Angela Baylis.: grandchildren, Thomas and Alex Baylis, Finnegan, Colton, Sean, Addison and Autumn Wiseman.
He is also survived by his brothers: Kevin Wiseman, Bruce Ayres, Tracy Battersby and sisters: Diane Robison, Kim Ray, Cindy Smith, Debbie Waller, Cathy Toller, and Reilly Hook. He was predeceased by his sister, Holly Ann Wiseman.
A celebration of Skip’s life will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 3:00 pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The family will be present to receive friends one hour prior to service time.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
