William Woodrow Leatherman
February 7, 1913 — March 29, 2009
Mr. William Woodrow Leatherman, 96 of Frederick, MD., died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the College View Center. He was the husband of the late Margreat Elizabeth Stewart Leatherman. They were married on November 20, 1937.
Born February 7, 1913 in Lewistown, MD., he was the son of the late Luther Elmer and Elizabeth Bell Powell Leatherman.
Mr. Leatherman retired from Sears after 37 � years and also retired from the City of Frederick after 8 years. He was a life member of the Junior Fire Co. Auxillary, the Lewistown Fire Company and a member of the AMVETS (Frederick), Thurmont Senior Citizens Center, and McDonald's Breakfast Club.
He is survived by his nephews Charles Lenhart and wife Mary Jane of Thurmont, his niece Gail Hoover-Smith and husband Robert of Middletown, sister-in-law Olive Rudderow and brother-in-law Peter Ligocki and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert Leatherman and wife Lillian, Marshall Leatherman and Kenneth Leatherman.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 2 -4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services:
Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 2, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick
