William Ronald Boyer

William Ronald Boyer, age 83, of Boonsboro, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Doey's House in Hagerstown. He was the husband of Mary Lou Eigenbrode Boyer for nearly 63 years.

Born August 16, 1934, he was the son of the late Carl William and Thelma McCoy Boyer.

He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School Class of 1952. He was employed at the Pangborn Corporation in Hagerstown for 44 years. He assisted in organizing South Mountain Little League. He was a great sports fan and enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens and the Maryland Terps. Playing card games and slot machines was one of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren's sports activities.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dwayne Curtis Boyer of Boonsboro; a daughter, Pamela Sue Martin and husband, Chris, of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Jarrod R. Goetz and Derek Boyer both of Boonsboro, Whitney Boyer of Middletown and Miranda Martin of Sharpsburg; and great-grandchildren, Talon and Addison Boyer of Hagerstown.

Ronald was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Boyer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro with Rev. Ronald Kurtz officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
