William R. Zimmerman

Mr. William R. Zimmerman, 79 of Frederick, MD, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. He was the husband of Orpha Rudy Zimmerman his wife of 43 years.
Born December 29, 1928 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Roy Calvin and Helen Beachley Zimmerman.
Mr. Zimmerman was a member of the American Legion Post #11 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #371. He served his Country in the U.S. Marine Corp.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister Nancy Lee Wilson and husband Preston of Florida and a brother Robert B. Zimmerman and wife Ilse of Glen Burnie and devoted friend and caregiver Brenda Pearson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his step-daughter Jessica Palmer and sister Barbara Miskell.
He is also survived by a son, from a former marriage, William R. Zimmerman, Jr and wife Loretta of Frederick.
