William Newman Spencer, Jr.

Mr. William Newman Spencer, Jr., 67 of Ijamsville, MD, died Friday, October 31, 2008 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born January 18, 1941 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late William Newman, Sr and Bessie Proctor Spencer.
Mr. Spencer was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He retired, as a supervisor, after 28 years from the State Highway Administration. He enjoyed cowboy movies, gospel programs and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by six children Marcelle Preston and fiance Dwayne Bowins, Thomas Spencer and wife Rosetta of York PA, Timothy Spencer and partner Steven Troxel of Alexandria, VA, Cynthia DeHart and husband John of Ijamsville, Lester Smith of York, PA and Tavon Spencer of Ijamsville, Six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters Lola Foreman and husband Henry of Frederick, Dorothy Gray and husband Stephen of Gaithersburg, MD and Brenda Spencer of Frederick, his first wife Patsy Spencer of York, P A and a host of nieces and Nephews.
He will also be remembered by Gladys Smith of York and Deborah Howard of Frederick and his devoted friend Doris Yuma.
He was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Spencer and a brother Wayne Spencer.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Thursday, Nov 6, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m
Services: Services will be held Friday, Nov 7, at 11 :00 a.m. from the Ebenezer U. Methodist Church, 4010 Ijamsville Rd., Ijamsville, MD Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
