William Hamilton Walker, 84, of Green Township passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2010 with his family by his side.
He was born in Akron, December 19, 1925, to the late William and Ruth Walker of Hartville, Ohio.
He proudly served his country during WWII as a Quartermaster aboard LSM #148. Upon return, he attended The Cleveland Institute of Art and Kent State University.
Later he became President/partner of Ken-Ed Cabinet Company of Tallmadge, Ohio where he worked until retirement.
An avid sportsman with a passion towards saltwater fishing, he earned many citations and awards. He also enjoyed bird watching, drawing and keeping active around his house. To friends and neighbors, Bill was known for his many talents and willingness to help others with projects big and small.
His loving wife, Fran of 52 years, preceded Bill in 2006. He is survived by his daughters, Gail (Frank) Ali of Ijamsville, MD, and Barbara Wilkins of Riverside, FL; two sons, William (Deanna) of Akron and Thomas (Laura) of Nashua, NH; grandchildren, Jennifer Wilkins, Frank and Lisa Ali, Jesse and Ben Walker, Bill and Stephanie Walker; step-grandchildren, Trent Smith and Christine Schwaben along with 4 greatgrandchildren and many other dear relatives and friends.
