William "Bill" Coe

William "Bill" Vincent Coe, 77, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, January 16, 2017 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.

Born on March 23, 1939, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Vincent Spiker Coe and Catherine (Beahm) Coe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Rowland) Coe, July 19, 1999; an infant son, William Lee Coe; sister, Mary Jane Line; and brother, Donald Lee Coe.

He is survived by son, David V. Coe and wife, Lynn, of Boonsboro; daughter, Cathy Coe of Frederick; grandchildren, David "Mike" Coe, Amanda L. Coe Emery and husband, Jason, ; great-grandchildren, Rilynn and Kenzie Emery, all of Boonsboro; and sisters, Gloria "June" Bragunier of Hagerstown, K. Lorraine Gloss of Chambersburg, PA; and brother, T. Dale Coe of Charlotte, NC. Bill's grandkids and great-grandkids were his pride, joy and loves of his life.

He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School Class of 1957.  Bill honorably served in the United States Army.  He retired from Frederick Produce Co. Inc. after 30 years of service as operations manager and member of the Board of Directors.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Walkersville and Red Men Tribe #84 Golf Club in Williamsport, where he supported their efforts to help end Alzheimer's disease.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 21st at the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, 17626 Bakersville Road, Boonsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Red Men Tribe #84 Golf Club , 16129 Lappans Road, Williamsport, MD  21795 in support of the Alzheimer's Association.
