Mr. William “Bill” Charles Wolfrey, 73 of Frederick died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Linda Wolfrey.
Born September 14, 1940 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Curtis and Mattie Wolfrey.
William retired from the US Navy. He was an avid poolplayer and was a member of the American Poolplayers Association.
In addition to his loving wife Linda he is survived by his daughter, Wendy Blancke, three stepsons, Charles Murphy, James Murphy and Claude Johnson, two stepdaughters, Anna McFadden and Kathleen Akil, a granddaughter, Alyssa Blancke, eleven step grandchildren and 4 great granddaughters.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike on Wednesday, September 10th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 11th at 10:00am with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment with military honors will be held at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy., Cheltenham, MD at 1:00pm.
