On November 7, 2013, William H. "Jay" Windsor, Jr. 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Born in Olney on Feb. 5, 1953, he was the son of the late Reba Miller and William Windsor, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Seabolt.
Jay graduated from Gaithersburg High school in 1971. He worked in the U.S. Postal Service for 38-1/2 years before his retirement in June 2010. Jay lived his life to the fullest by spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed watching the games with his buddies. Nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his grandchildren.
Survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Egupov and husband, Andrew, of Smithsburg, and Kimberly Widener and husband, Brian, of Colorado Springs, Co. Most importantly he will be remembered by his grandchildren, Paige, Nathan and Bethany Egupov; and Tyler, Bailey, and Ducati Widener. Additionally, he was awaiting the arrival of two grandchildren to be born next month. Jay is also survived by his brother, Ray and wife, Vicki, of Michigan. He also will be remembered fondly by his devoted friends, Bill and Ann Whalen, and his loving aunts and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 17 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Main Street, Myersville. Officiating will be Rev. David Howell.
Interment will be private at a later date in Forest Oak Cemetery in Gaithersburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jay's name may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
