William A. Willhide

William A. Willhide , 96, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Country Meadows in Frederick, MD.  He was the beloved husband of the late Mary V. Smith. 

Born on August 26, 1926, in Thurmont, MD, he was the son of the late Morris and Ethel A. (Foreman) Willhide.

William proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, Seaman 1st Class.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.  William served as President of the Blue Ridge Cemetery Board, and was also a Life member of the Thurmont Lions Club and Life member of the Guardian Hose Co.  In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and gardening.  

He is survived by one sister, Betty Jane Brice and one grandson Aaron E. Willhide.
