William Augustus "Bill" Valentine, age 79, of Keedysville, MD, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Born Aug. 13, 1929 in Keedysville, he was the son of the late Calvin Foster and Martha Ellen Easterday Valentine.
He was formerly employed at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV, retiring in 1989.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a member of Clopper-Michael Post 10 American Legion in Boonsboro and loved attending local sales.
He is survived by one sister, Patsy V. Miller of Boonsboro.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 P.M. Friday in Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg. The Rev. Richard G. Hembrock will officiate.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Arrangements are by Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
