Mr. William G. Trappen, 79 of Thurmont died on Friday November 15, 2013 at Washington Hospital Center. He was the husband of Shelbie Jean Puryear.
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan he was the son of the late Lorenzo E. and Elizabeth E. Hansen Trappen.
He was a graduate of Michigan State University. He was an Artist, Fisherman and avid golfer.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children Michael Trappen of New Market, Teresa Fagan and husband Adam of Rockville and Debra Munley of Mt. Airy. Grandchildren Kathleen and Jennifer Munley and Aaron, Lauren, Anna and Sarah Fagan. Brother Richard Trappen and wife Kathleen of California. He was preceded in death by a sister Janice M. Clark.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until time of Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday November 20, 2013 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD 21793. Interment will be private.
