Mr. William Clyde "Bud" Thomas, 61, of Walkersville, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 at his home. He was the loving husband of Helen Thomas for 37 years.
Born July 5, 1952 in Greenville, N.C., he was the son of the late William and Ella Thomas.
He worked as an HVAC engineer with Frederick County Public Schools before his retirement. He was a volunteer with the Frederick County Sheriff's CAPs Program until his illness prevented him from doing so. Mr. Thomas was an avid Redskins fan. He will be missed by his beloved pets.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Chris Thomas; his daughter, Jessica Thomas; three grandchildren, Katelyn Thomas, Ryan Thomas, and Matthew Thomas; two brothers, Eric Thomas and Larry Trail; and his beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, John Cole, Larry Cole, Eddie Cole, Ricky Cole, Ronnie Cole, Jackie Hottinger, Barbara Arnold and Bonnie Graham and their spouses.
He was preceded in death by his sister Levonne Sutton.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Officiating will be the Rev. Tim May.
