Mr. William “Craig” Thacher, Lewistown, MD passed away at home December 26, 2014.
Born February 2, 1960, in Miami FL, he was the son of William P. Thacher and the late Helen Janet Thacher.
He is survived by Father William P. Thacher, brother Jeffrey L. Thacher, niece Danielle McGraw and husband Brenton, nephew William Zachary Thacher, Aunt Helen Clare Butler and husband James, Uncle Thomas Thacher and wife Betty, Aunt Pat Thacher, many cousins and friend and partner Susan Springer. He was predeased by Uncle Elwood James Thacher.
He was a graduate of Thomas Johnson High School and Frostburg State University and was employed as a construction superintendent for Triad Construction for 20 years. He was an ardent and skilled hunter and fisherman. He was also avid in showmanship and breeding of working Saint Bernards, contributing much to the promotion of the breed.
He will be missed and remembered by the many family members, friends and co workers who enjoyed and basked in his calm, steady and loyal presence.
Family will receive friends for a memorial visit December 30, 2014 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, MD 21702. Rev. Franklin Bishop will offer words of comfort at 5:00 pm
Interment will be private.
