William Woodrow Stull, 73, of Boonsboro, Maryland passed from this life on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
Born on April 10, 1940, in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late William and Daisy (Earley) Stull. He was also preceded in death by his aunt and uncle who raised him, Henry and Ethel Earley.
William was employed for 40 years at the 3 minute car wash on Jonathan Street in Hagerstown. He retired in 2002, and soon after the car wash closed.
He was an avid Merle Haggard and country music fan, and also was a Richard Petty and NASCAR fan.
William is survived by his wife, Rosalie C. (Smith) Stull; one son, Randy W. Stull of Boonsboro; two sisters, Betty Ecton of Hagerstown and Dorothy Miles of Baltimore, Maryland; one granddaughter, Lindsey Stull of Boonsboro; one great granddaughter, Natalee Brusky of Boonsboro; and his sister-in-law, Geraldine Smith of Middletown, Maryland. He will also be missed by his loving companion cat, Tinker.
In addition to his parents and is aunt and uncle, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Mallott; and his brother-in-law, Charles Smith.
A graveside ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro. Rev. James E. Jones will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
