William Moore, Jr.

William "Calvin" Moore Jr., 58, of Frederick, MD passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born January 16, 1957 in Berea, KY he was the beloved son of the late William Calvin Moore Sr. and the late Juanita W. Moore. He is survived by his two daughters, Calynne Moore and Jennifer Moore, his sister Ann Shepherd, his two brothers Roger Moore and Robert Lee Moore, his former wife Marcelina Moore, and his longtime companion Patricia Davis. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Calvin served in the US Navy for four years and worked for Vitro Corporation for over 20 years. He later volunteered as an auxiliary police officer for Frederick City and then served as a federal police officer at National Institute of Standard Technology for almost 14 years.

Calvin loved his two daughters and was proud to be a federal police officer. He was very kind and loving and was always ready to tell a good joke. He will truly be missed by many friends and family who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. A funeral service will follow Tuesday at 11 am. Rev. Tim May will officiate.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
