Mr. William LeRoy McIlwee,56, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at his home.
Born on January 24, 1955 in Bethesda, Maryland he was the son of the late John Morris McIlwee.
LeRoy worked as a heavy diesel mechanic for Francis O.Day Company for 33 years. Mr. McIlwee enjoyed fishing camping and hunting. LeRoy was an avid Redskins fan. He also enjoyed baseball and soccer.
He is survived by three daughters Helen Elizabeth McKenney of Reston, VA, Jessica Lindsey McIlwee of Sterling, VA and Sarah Nicole McIlwee McKenney of Hagerstown, MD; brothers John Eugene McIlwee of Boonesville, VA and Clifford Allen McIlwee of NC; sisters Donna Rogers of Martinsburg, WV and Mary Jane Barklund of Seattle, WA. He will also be remembered by his loving dog General Justice Lee McIlwee of Hagerstown, MD.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday, May 1, at the Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD, where services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, May 2. The Rev. Tom Fralin will officiate.
Interment will be at Gravel Springs Cemetery, Gravel Springs, VA at 3 PM.
