William Loudon

January 15, 1936 — February 26, 2015

Mr. William H. Loudon, 79, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, February 26, 2015, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 15, 1936, in Bay Shore, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Lyon) Loudon.

A skilled artist and people-person, Bill worked for over 30 years at Fairchild. In New York, he started as an illustrator, then continued his career in Germantown MD, where he handled public relations and marketing.  He conducted many trade shows for Fairchild all around the world.  After Bill retired, he and his family owned and operated a printing company in the Frederick area.

Bill was an avid deer hunter and was a member of the Maverick Hunting Club. His favorite hobby was building and flying model airplanes and he was a member of the Maverick RC Club.

Bill was also an accomplished artist.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carmella Loudon, who he married on August 5, 1956, his daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Jones and husband, Tom, of Chandler, Arizona; his son, Brian Loudon and wife, Toni, of Thurmont; and his grandchildren, Emily and Carly Jones, and Nathan and Shannon Loudon. He is also survived by his two brothers, David and Nicholas Loudon.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Jacob Loudon on February 12, 2015; his sisters, Dorothy Brown and Betty Loudon; and his brother, Robert Loudon.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702.  Father Keith Boisvert will be celebrant.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015, at the funeral home in Frederick.
