Mr. William Phillip's "Bill" Heller, Sr., 65, of Westminster, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Dove Hospice House.
Born December 8, 1946 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Frank Llwellyn White and Anna Maybelle (Mabel) Heller.
Bill was a mechanic for many years. Early in his career, he worked for Beckley's Camping Center. He later owned and operated Bill's Auto and Truck Repair on Reich's Ford Road. He later moved the business to Columbia at which time it became known as Columbia Auto Works.
Bill was a life member of Independent Hose Company in Frederick.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracey D. Nicolaisen and husband, Tyler; of Owings Mills; his son, William P. Heller, Jr.of Westminster; and his grandsons, Tyler Swope and Cameron Heller. Also surviving are his brothers, Frank Heller and wife, Lorraine, of Silver Spring; James Heller and wife, Helen, of Frederick; and Jack Heller and wife, Gracie, also of Frederick; brother-in-law, Charles Scott of Lady Lake, Florida; sister-in-law, Muriel Heller of Sacramento, California; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters, Betty Jane Main, Marjorie Scott, and Mary Lucille Heller; and his brothers, Linwood Heller and wife, Kathleen, Raymond Heller, and Robert Heller and wife, Ruth.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossusmtown Pike, Frederick. Services will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 1 from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Harry C. Cole.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
