Mr. William "John" Hanlin (Chuckles), 21 of Myersville, MD., passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 in Frederick, MD.
Born July 15, 1988 in Frederick, MD., he was the son of the late William A. Hanlin and Annette Oakes Hanlin Cooney and husband Matthew of Myersville. He had played football for Walkersville Lions and Linganore Lancers.
John loved animals and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his maternal grandparents Carol "Lumpy" and Ralph Oakes of Frederick, Paternal grandparents, Judy and Charles "Chuck" Hanlin, Aunt Tammy Jenkins and husband Ronnie, uncle Christopher Hanlin, cousins Joey and Amanda Jenkins, Zachary Cooney and Cody Starner, and many great aunts and uncles. He will also be remembered by his non-maternal brothers Ronnie Eckenrode and Chris Kraus.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, July 14, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., where services will be held Thursday, July 15, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. David Coakley officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Jenkins, Zach Cooney, Cody Starner, Shaun Naill, Everette Estes, Jason Estes, Ronnie Echenrode, John Hopkins, Matthew Metzger, Travis Lyles, Dwayne Mills, and Chris Queen.
Interment will be private.
