William Franck

William C. Franck, 80, of Sun City West, AZ, died June 3, 2011, at home with his son and wife by his side.
Mr. Franck was born Oct. 15, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA, and was the son of the late William Earl Franck and Ana Woodson Franck. He graduated with a BS in Accounting from Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia in 1954. He was an Army Veteran, and served 2 years as a Specialist Third Class from Dec. 1955 to Dec. 1957. He was employed as an Auditor by the Federal Government, and retired in 1985 from the Department of Defense, Inspector General‘s Office.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Dolores K. Franck, of Sun City West, AZ; his son David C. Franck, son’s wife, Elaine Flick, and grand-daughter Madison N. Franck of Littleton, CO; his step-son John E. Dixon and his wife, Nora Dixon, of Ft. Collins, CO.
Family will receive friends from 9 am to 12 noon at Stauffer’s Funeral Home in Frederick, MD on June 27, 2011. The memorial service will begin at 11:30 am on June 27 at Stauffer’s. Internment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD. A celebration of life luncheon will be hosted for friends and family at the American Legion Francis Scott Key Post 11 immediately following the interment.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Franck’s honor to the Children’s Hospital, Washington, DC.
