William "Bill" Henry Steinhaus, III

William "Bill" Henry Steinhaus, III, 81, of Knoxville, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at his home in Knoxville, MD.  He was the beloved husband of Helen Maria Parks Steinhaus for 42 years.  

Born on August 13, 1940, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Austin Nelson and Helen Louise (Hamilton) Steinhaus.

Bill was in the U.S. Army Reserves.  After 41 years he retired from the State Highway Administration as an Equipment Operator.  Bill loved working with crafts in his spare time and was a well known local artist.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Joy Marie Jenkins and husband Gordon; daughter, Deirdre (Dee) and her husband Eric Fogle and his son, William Henry Steinhaus, IV; grandchildren, Brandi Dawn May, Brittany Lynn Murphy, William Henry Steinhaus, V, Joshua Tyler Steinhaus and Kaitlyn Mary Steinhaus and great-grandson, Lucas Fenway Kettle.  

He was preceded in death by his daughter Deanna Lynn Steinhaus. 

The family will receive friends from 10-11AM  on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick where a celebration of Bill's life journey will take place at 11AM.  Zach Lister will officiate. 

 Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in  Frederick, MD.
