WESLEY DYLAN OAKES, 23, of Williamsport, MD passed away suddenly Monday, July 23, 2012.

Born August 11, 1988 in Frederick, MD he was the son of Earnest Oakes of Williamsport, MD and Sharon King of Myersville, MD.

Wesley was a 2006 graduate of Middletown High School where he played football and earned a spot on the weightlifting wall.  He owned and operated Green Oakes Landscaping.  Wesley had a kind and gentle soul and his passion lived in the outdoors.  He was an avid sportsman and a loyal Redskins fan.  He was very knowledgeable in football trivia.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling, camping and playing his guitar.  He was a hard worker, loyal and dedicated to his landscaping customers.  Wesley loved to spend time with his nephews Max and Will and  giving them rides on the four wheeler.  He also tried his hand at taxidermy.

In addition to his parents and step father Robert Wultsch, Jr. he is survived by his brother Gerrit Oakes and wife Catherine of Goose Creek, SC;  paternal grandparents Howard and Natalie Oakes of High View, WV; maternal grandmother Evelyn King of Frederick; nephews Maximus and William.  He will be greatly missed by Kristian Shea and her children Madison and Micah, his dog "Buck" and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Bill King and his great uncles Olan Spaid and Guy Spaid, Sr.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, July 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 400 Main Street, Myersville on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11 AM.  Pastor David Howell will officiate.

Interment will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
