Wesley Lowell Moulton, 86, of Rohrersville, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at his home. He was the loving husband of Shirley Moulton for 66 years.
Born on December 20, 1936, in South Dakota, he was the son of the late Lowell Moulton and Mabel (Hellerud) Moulton.
He farmed as a youngster in South Dakota and spent his working career as a carpenter until the age of 83. Wes was a proud craftsman and rose daily before the sun, coffee in hand. He worked long days with a joyous attitude. He was a stoic but loving and gentle soul who cared deeply for his wife and family. Always willing to help with any project and entertain with a seemingly endless supply of antidotes. He will be greatly missed.
Wesley was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by wife, Shirley; three children, Michael Moulton of Arkansas, Sharon Hughes and husband Robert of Brunswick, and Randy Moulton and wife Rhonda of Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Eric, Erin, Samantha, Amanda, Andrew, Nathan, Samuel, Patrick, Alison, and Oliver; 14 great-grandchildren, Chase, Ethan, Elizabeth, Madeline, Charlotte, Henry, August, Emily, Noah, Jonah, Zachary, Jada, Wyatt and Wesley; and his sister, Betty Oehlke and nephews Robert, Douglass, and Craig.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Moulton.
