Wendell E. Eaton, 88, of Frederick, MD passed away on Sunday, July 8 at College View Nursing Home, Frederick, MD. He was the loving husband of 69 years to Audrey M. Eaton. Born November 17, 1923 in Uniontown, PA, Wendell was the son of the late Granville and Jane Eaton.
In addition to his wife, Wendell is survived by daughter, Wendy Errera (Frank) and son, David Eaton (Vicki). He is also survived by grandchildren, Qui Stewart, Dara Wallace, Jennifer Tumy, Brad Tumy, Scott Eaton, Austin Shamlin, Tori Eaton and Katie Eaton, and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous family and friends. Mr. Eaton was predeceased by his 11 siblings.
During World War II, Mr. Eaton served in the U.S. Navy and the Merchant Marines. By trade, Mr. Eaton was a piano technician, serving actively throughout his life in the Piano Technicians Guild.
He will be remembered by all with love and respect.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. On Saturday, July 14, 10:00 a.m. viewing, 11:00 a.m. funeral service and burial will be held at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD.
Following the burial in Fort Lincoln Cemetery a memorial luncheon will be held from 3-5 p.m. at the Woman's Mill Club House, 2470 Stoney Creek Rd., Frederick, MD (301-696-9476).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
