Mr. Wayne Zecher Tucker, 87, a lifelong dairy farmer from Jefferson died peacefully at his home, Saturday, July 05, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband Georgia Hawkins Tucker, his wife of 65 years.
Wayne was born May 5, 1927, at his current home to the late Thomas and Thelma (Zecher) Tucker.
Mr. Tucker was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jefferson, a former member of the Petersville Farmers Club, Maryland Jousting Tournament Association, Maryland Farm Bureau, and other farming organizations. Mr. Tucker loved farming and jousting. He has passed on those two loves to his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Stanley and wife Sandy; daughter, Gail Miglio and husband Pat; four grandchildren Justin Tucker (Mary Kate), Rebecca Tucker, Nadine Galvin (Carroll) and Adam Miglio and also a great granddaughter Adrienne Tucker. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Mr. Tucker was predeceased in death by his brother Merhle, and sisters Doris Testa and Elaine Hall and a nephew Terry Testa.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Avenue, Brunswick, Monday, July 7, from 4 – 7:00 pm, where services will be held Tuesday, July 8, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Joe Lettrick officiating.
Interment St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson.
