Wayne "Skeeter" Geisbert

Wayne "Skeeter" Geisbert, 81, of Middletown, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Life in the Country Assisted Living in Knoxville, MD.

 Born on May 24, 1941, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Calvin Geisbert and Ruth Geisbert (Horman).
 Skeeter graduated from Frederick High School, class of 1959.
 He was in the National Guard part of the 29th Division from 1964 to1969. He also worked for Eastalco Aluminum Plant from where he retired.

He was a member of the Amvets Post number 9, and the Frederick VFW. Skeeter enjoyed watching all sports, talking sports, and playing golf.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cindy Geisbert, sons; Patrick Geisbert (Suzanne), Darren Geisbert (Lauren), grandchildren; Jack Geisbert, Eli Geisbert, Janie Geisbert, and Max Geisbert. He is also survived by his siblings, Ruthie Bussard, Pat Crowe, and Margie Poeta.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings; Nancy Bidle and Calvin Geisbert.
A memorial service will be held at Amvets Post number 9, 409 W. Green St., Middletown, Maryland 21769 on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Amvets Post number 9 or to Saint Johns Lutheran Church, 10634 Church Hill Rd, Myersville, MD 21773.
