Wayne Ridenour

Wayne M. Ridenour, 62, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the long time partner of the late Mary Jane Green, who died in 2013

Born on June 9, 1954, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Margason George Ridenour and Alice Louise Smith Crebbs.

He was a 1972 graduate of Middletown High School. He was a self employed home improvement contractor and was known for his dedication to quality work and was well respected in the community. Wayne was a member of the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club. He was an outdoorsman and was an avid  hunter and fisherman; and enjoyed teaching his grandchildren about the outdoors.

He is survived by two daughters: Amie Stann and husband William of Boonsboro and Corinne Blanford and husband James of Jacksonville, NC; five grandchildren: William Stann, Jr., Olivia Stann, Ian Stann, Lillian Stann, Eliot Blanford; seven brothers and sisters: Terry Ridenour of Frederick, Cheryl Ensor of New Windsor, Debra Perry and husband Jim of Florida, Linda Sue Crebbs of Emmitsburg, David Crebbs and wife Lisa of Thurmont, Raymond Crebbs of Keymar and Charles Crebbs and wife Rhonda of Rohrersville; three step-children: Randy Green, Charles Green and Gloria Green; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Wednesday, February 8, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick and from 10-11 AM on Thursday February 9 where services will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
