Wayne Richards

Mr. Wayne J. Richards, 83 of Ft. Myers, Florida passed away on June 18, 2015. He was the devoted husband to Lillie Marie Richards, his wife of 65 years.
Born October 2, 1931 in Michigan, he was the son of the late Willis and Dorothea Richards.
Wayne proudly served for 28 years in the United States Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 and retired in 1973.
He was a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W, Elks Lodge and the Disabled Veterans. He also enjoyed cooking, traveling and antique cars.
In addition to his loving wife Lillie Marie he is survived by a son, Wayne Richards Jr. and wife Sophia of Frederick, a daughter, Barbara Miller of Minnesota, brothers, James and Tom Richards, five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Michael Richards and Kurt Richards, a brother Chuck and sister, Marilyn.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, June 26th from 2:00-3:00 pm. Funeral services will then begin at 3:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment with military honors will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
