Wayne E. McAfee, age 57, of 3542 Trego Mountain Rd., Keedysville, MD, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at his home.
Born June 21, 1950 in Keedysville, he was a son of Anna Belle Haupt McAfee of Keedysville and the late Thomas McAfee.
He was a 1968 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He had been employed for nine years with Sam's Club in Hagerstown.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay Daugherty McAfee, whom he married Sept. 10, 1977; one daughter, Jessica J. Lessner of Brunswick, MD; three sisters, Tina Smith of Brunswick, Linda Kline of Greencastle, PA, and Barbara Wolfe of Hagerstown; two brothers, William McAfee of Keedysville and Roger McAfee of Williamsport, MD; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. Pastor Ollie Baer will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, MD 21742, or Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
