Warren Rothe

Warren P. Rothe of Frederick, MD died on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his home. He was born September 2, 1935 in Springfield, MA to the late Dutch and Edna Harpin Rothe. The majority of his life was spent in the Maryland suburbs of D.C. Warren graduated from St. Johns College High School in 1953, he attended American University graduating in 1969 with a B.S. degree in Finance and completed the Advanced Management Program from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1979. Warren 's additional education includes Robert Morris Associates Loan Management Seminar in 1975, Stonier Graduate School of Banking 1973, American University, B.S. , Finance 1969, American Institute of Banking Graduate Certificate 1961.

Warren retired in 1990 from C&S Sovran, formerly Suburban Bank, now Bank of America as an Executive Vice- President. When living in Montgomery County, he served on the following: Chairman of the Greater Washington Better Business Bureau, Chairman of the Treatment and Learning Center of Rockville, President of the Montgomery Bankers Association. He was a founding Director of Leadership Montgomery, President of the Economic & Business Development Corporation of Maryland, as well as a Board Member of the Maryland Industrial Development Finance Authority.Warren was a Board Member of the Consumer Credit Counseling, Inc of Metropolitan , DC and served on the Board of several Chambers of Commerce and served on the Faculty of the American Institute of Banking for 10 years. Warren was involved in many community organizations including, Consumer Affairs Advisory Committee of Montgomery Co. 1986, Present Director and Chairman 1983-85 of Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan Washington, Director 1985-86 and President 1982-84 of the Economic and Business Development Corporation of Maryland,Director 1976-86 of the Development Credit Corporation of Maryland, 1981 - Present of the Council on Economic Education in Maryland, 1983- Present Director of the Summer Opera Theatre, 1975 Director of Montgomery County chamber of Commerce, Director 1973-79 of the Red Cross, Montgomery County Chapter, 1971 2nd Vice President of the Civitan Club of Bethesda.He served on the faculties of the Marymount College, Arlington, VA. American Institute of Banking (Analyzing Financial Statements (edited 1979 Edition), Financial Administration and Analysis, Loan Officer Development Program and Lectured on Finance and Banking at Montgomery County Adult Education, SCORE - S.B.A. Seminars and Robert Morris Associates Seminar.

Warren was an avid bird hunter, reader, tomato grower, poker player and a Redskin fan.

His wife Sue predeceased him 2005; he is survived by his two daughters, Paula Rothe of San Francisco and Lori (Ed) Dunn of Florida; two granddaughters, Lauren Dunn and Daisy Robins; and his sister, Michele Rothe (Rob Rohrer) of College Park, MD.

At Warren's request, a Celebration of his Life will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum, Frederick, MD on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11AM.
