Warren Donald Jeffries, age 61, of El Rancho Road, Boonsboro, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at his home.
Born Oct. 9, 1947 in Allegany County, MD, he was a son of Edith Marie Elliott Jeffries of Midland, MD, and the late John Henry Jeffries.
Warren was preceded in death by his wife, Anilla Braidotti Jeffries, on Oct. 10, 2005.
He had been employed with Mack Trucks in Hagerstown for 33 years.
Warren was a veteran of the Viet Nam War, serving with the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of the Model A Club in Hagerstown, Clopper-Michael Post 10 American Legion in Boonsboro, North American Rod and Gun Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Warren is survived by two sons, John T. Jeffries and wife Robin of Gaithersburg, MD, and Warren E. Jeffries, USCG, and wife Susan of Galveston, TX; two sisters, Elizabeth Malin and husband Charles of Hedgesville, WV, and Lois Keifer and husband Paul of Midland; one brother, Dick Jeffries of Cherry Run, WV; girlfriend Mary Parsons of Martinsburg, WV; long-time friends, Jim and Charlotte New and Gary and Donna Zimmerman, all of Boonsboro; and four grandchildren, Jared, Morgan, Cheyenne and Dakota.
A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Private burial will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone, MD.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
