Ms. Wanda Jean Palmer, 60 of Frederick entered eternal rest Tuesday, January 1, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Wanda was the daughter of John S. Palmer and the late Margaret E. Palmer. She attended Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. Wanda was employed with the Red Horse until she was unable to work due to illness. She loved life, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Surviving in addition to her father is one devoted son Marcus Ambush, Sr. and wife Christina of Frederick; three granddaughters Sienna Ambush; Marqushia Ambush and Makala Ambush; and one grandson Marcus Ambush Jr.; three brothers Dwight Palmer and wife Sandra; Wayne Palmer and wife Anne, and Cort Palmer and wife Sandra; and sister-in-law Constance Palmer all of Frederick; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Barry L. Palmer, Terry L. Palmer, Cornell "Ricky" Palmer, Anthony Palmer, her sister Annette "Netta" Palmer, maternal and paternal grandparents. Friends may call on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 2-4 PM and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Wayman AME Church of Frederick, 9940 Liberty Road, Frederick, MD 21701 at 12 Noon with Pastor Ronald P. Simmons officiating.
