Wanda Michelle Murray

Wanda Michelle Murray, 54, of Frederick, Maryland affectionately known as "Muffin" and "Little Bitty" passed from this life on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 into the arms of Jesus, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved daughter of Shirley Murray-Taylor of Frederick, Maryland and James F. Murray Sr., of Rocky Ridge, Maryland. 

Born on May 30, 1970 in Bethesda, Maryland. Wanda grew up in Mt. Airy, Maryland, and she attended South Carroll High School, where she graduated with the class of 1988. These were her "most memorable four years" where she made many friends.

Wanda shared a special bond with her sister, Dianna Roderick and her nephews Justin, and Joshua Webb, whom she helped raise and treated like her own sons. Wanda had a love for county music, watching the Orioles. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, including her cats. 

Wanda is survived by one brother, two sisters and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, James F. Murray Jr. 

Wanda will be loved and missed by all who knew her, especially her long time friends Kimberly, and Tammie.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 104 East Main Street in Thurmont, MD. Please dress casually. 

A celebration of Wanda's life journey will take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes.

Burial services are private at the family's request.
