Walter Stine

Walter A. Stine Jr., 74 of Walkersville, MD went home to be with the Lord on Saturday September 14th, 2013. He was the loving husband of P. Diane Stine, married for 45 years.
Born November 1, 1938 in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Walter A Stine Sr. and Annie Kessling Stine.
Walt worked on the farm all of his life and had a special connection with animals. Being a man of faith he talked frequently of his 3 guardian angels and often said he could feel their presence even as a young child. After his retirement from Crumland Farms he enjoyed going to yard sales, farmer markets, camping at “The River”, his John Deere collection, grocery store excursions with his wife and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Marsha R Case and a granddaughter, Samantha D Fry who was his pride and joy. Two brothers, Charles Stine, Walkersville and Donald Stine and wife Pat of Thurmont, The Miller and Berry Families, a special nephew, Mike Shoemaker who referred to Walt as G.W. (Good Walt), his cat Sketter, several nieces, nephews and his many friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son n law Michael G. Case and a brother, Daniel Stine.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19 at 10 AM. Dr. Fred Bernhard will officiate.
Interment will be at Glade Cemetery.
