Walter Hyvarinen
August 12, 1957 — January 17, 2019
Walter C. Hyvarinen, Jr., 61, of Keedysville, passed from this life on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. He was the loving husband of Roseann Hyvarinen for 34 years.
Born on August 12, 1957, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Walter C. and Eila Hyvarinen, Sr. and Joan (Crum) Glenn and the late James R. Glenn, Sr.
A carpenter by trade, Walter was also employed at CertainTeed for 25 years and a member of the Local D 533 Boilermakers Union.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his three daughters, Jamie L. Hyvarinen-Reeder and husband, Ricky, of Carrollton, Texas, Diana M. Hyvarinen of Grantville, GA and Kelsi A. Hyvarinen-Teegarden and husband, Tyler, of Sharpsburg; three grandchildren, Samantha, Kyleigh and Ashton; sisters, Donna J. Weatherly and husband, George, of Brimley, MI and Kathie D. Hyvarinen-Blalock and husband, Randy, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Boonsboro Cemetery with Rev. Terry Marshall officiating.
