Mr. Walter Mitchell DeRonde, 73 of Middletown died on Friday May 2, 2014 at Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy. He was the husband of Joan DeRonde for over 50 years. Walter was a retired career Navy sailor and at the time of his death employed by Aeroflex/Weinschel.
Born on March 27, 1941 in Newark, NJ he was the son of the late Walter S. and N. Frances Mitchell DeRonde.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters Kimberly deRonde of Palmyra, VA, and Kelly Patrice Beall and husband John William Jr., of Middletown. He was adored by his two granddaughters Heather Nicole Beall and Rowan Kelsey McNemara Dell-deRonde. He was the greatest Poppa to his great grandson Wyatt Mitchell Beall. Walter leaves behind many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother James Edwin DeRonde.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 from 6-8pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday May 10, 2014. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
