Wallace Holmes

Wallace Ira Holmes of Boonsboro, MD passed away into the presence of the Lord on Monday, May 8, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carroll Alfred and Ruth Ellen (Jamison) Holmes.
In addition to his loving wife of 64 years, Joyce Lorraine Mills, he is survived by his brother Ralph Holmes and spouse Jean, his sister Esther Smith and spouse Oscar.
He lead by example and was much beloved by his three sons, Dale Holmes and spouse Kathy, Ronald Holmes and spouse Lisa and Carroll Holmes and spouse Tammy.
His grandchildren who will always remember pancake breakfasts and his quiet spirit include Nathanael Holmes and spouse Heather, Rebekah Holmes, Adam Holmes, Mallory Studebaker and spouse Jeff, Rachel Lamp and spouse Timothy, Abby Holmes and spouse Nicholas Henry, Morgan Pomfrey and spouse Nathan.
He was pop to eight great-grandchildren which include Kadin, Leslie, Kayleanna, Gavyn, Myles, Ellynora, Micah and Josephine.
He was a retired employee of Washington County Public Schools and a lifelong member of Chestnut Bible Church, Chestnut Grove, Maryland.
This tough man, this hardworking male, this peacemaker has met his Savior.
The family will receive friends at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Friday, May 12 at 11AM. Rev. Dale Carver will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
