Wade Cordell Clark, 52, died Monday, Feb. 9,2009 at Citizens Nursing Home, Frederick, Maryland. Wade was born March 3, 1956. He was the son of the late Myrvin C. Clark and Dorothy M. Clark.
Wade was a Poster Boy for Down's Syndrome and worked with Mrs. Hubert Humphrey to bring awareness of Down's Syndrome. Wade graduated from Special Education School at Steven Knolls at the age of 21.
Wade was well known through out Frederick. He worked for Jeanny Bussards Work Shop. Wade loved all types of music; he loved to dance. Wade was active with the Church of the Nazarene, he was a Boy Scout; he was part of the Arc of Frederick County program and the Special Olympics. Wade won over 20 Gold metals. He was a excellent swimmer and loved Basketball, Mickey Mouse, Spiderman and Superman.
Wade is survived by brothers, Myrvin K. Clark, Paul C. Clark, Mark L. Clark, Jeffrey L. Clark and sister Julia Clark Foster. The late John A. McDonald was a dear and close life long friend. Eleanor Hanlan was Wade's friend and girl friend of fourteen years. Wade is survived by 13 nieces and nephews
Wade was best known for his smile; his gentleness; his happy attitude and positive approach to living. Wade gave the greatest of gifts, Love. Wade brighten every room he entered.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 15,2009 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md.
Services: Wade will join his Father and Mother at Arlington National Cemetery.
