V. June (Miller) Faith-Schmidt, 91, passed from this life on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village in Boonsboro, Maryland.
Born on June 25, 1923, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas O. and Hazel M. (Rohrer) Miller. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lowell D. Faith, and her second husband, William Schmidt.
June attended the Beaver Creek Elementary School, the Boonsboro High School, and she also was a graduate of the West Virginia College of Beauty Culture in Martinsburg.
She owned and operated June Faith's Beauty Salon in Halfway for over 25 years.
June was a member of the Beaver Creek Christian Church.
She is survived by one sister, Betty Russo of South Bend, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Sarah Herrmann, Jane L. Bowman, Berneta Garvin, and Aldine Orrison; three brothers, Orville, Preston, and Roger Miller; and her special niece, Carolyn (Miller) McKnight.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. J. Mark Curran will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
