Vivian Sorrelle

Mrs. Vivian Mertens Gerhart Sorrelle, 91, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away, February 6, 2015 at College View Center. She was the wife of the late Wilbur Clinton Sorrelle.
Born April 15, 1923 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lillian Mertens Gerhart.
Mrs. Sorrelle served her country as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy during WWII. She retired after many years of service as purchasing manager of Bowers Lumber Co.
She is survived by her sons Douglas G. Sorrelle and wife Cheryl of Yuma, AZ, Gary K. Sorrelle and wife Mary of Chesapeake City, MD and Michael W. Sorrelle of New Market, MD, and his significant other Susan Guissinger of Frederick, MD, four grandchildren Renee Rogers, Christina Sorrelle-Warland, Jennifer Sorrelle and Chandra Sorrelle, a brother Kenneth M. Gerhart of Diamond Springs, CA. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers Donald M. Gerhart and Warren J. Gerhart.
Services and interment private.
