Virginia "Ginny" Turner

Virginia Walker Turner, age 86, died March 8, 2013 at the retirement community of Buckingham's Choice in Buckeystown after a long illness.  She was born in Beaaverton, Snyder County, PA in 1926 of parents Alvin C. Walker and Hallie M. Walker.  She graduated from Beaver Vocational High School and earned her Bachelor's degree in music from Susquehanna University and her Master's degree from Columbia University.  She taught briefly in public schools of PA and MD.  Her life was devoted to her family and to music as a teacher of piano and a player in church and on various occasions.  She was a resident of Buckingham's Choice for the last 12 years.  Ginny leaves her beloved husband of 55 years Brice W. Turner, two children, Daniel W. Turner of Westminster, Hallie T. Weber of Mt. Airy, daughter-in-law Patrice Turner, son-in-law Ronald Weber and four grandchildren: Annalise Evans, Calvin Turner, Bradley Weber and Erin Weber.  Two sisters predeceased her.  Remembrances may be sent to Hospice of Frederick Co., P.O.
