Ms. Virginia Estelle Wilson, 89, of Dickerson, MD passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her home. Born May 5, 1927 in Frederick County , MD, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Mabel V. Hallman Wilson. Virginia worked in Washington, DC for the Federal Government as a Travel Clerk until her retirement in 1994.
After retiring, she moved back to the Sugarloaf area. She was a member of Bell's Chapel United Methodist Church. For many years she was the church pianist for Bell's Chapel and Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara E. Wilson, her daughter, Arlene D. Johnson (Sterling), four grandchildren: Michelle Whitfield (Vaughn) of Frederick, Michael Johnson (Erica) of Baltimore, Marc Johnson of Frederick and Montel Johnson of Dayton, TN; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Wilson.
Funeral service at Frederick Alliance Church, 1631 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick Md (next to Stauffer Funeral Home) on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10 am. Interment Bell's Chapel Cemetery, Dickerson, MD.
