Virginia Burall

Virginia Eleanor Burall, 88, of Frederick, died Thursday, February 4, 2021, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Darlene Burall of Ijamsville, following a brief illness.  Born on May 20, 1932, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Rebecca Mainhart.  She was the last of her immediate family.

Virginia was a member of Frederick Church of the Brethren where for many years sang in the church choir.  She was a graduate of Frederick High School.  During her earlier working days she was employed by Village Restaurant, Betty's Restaurant, retiring from Roy Rogers.  She was a past member of New Market Grange #362.

Surviving are three children, Michael Burall of Frederick; Nancy Burger of Falling Waters, WV; and Scott Burall (Darlene) of Ijamsville; 8 grandchildren, Christine Lescalleet of Martinsburg, WV; Gregory Lescalleet of Hagerstown; Casey Nemtuda (Adam) of Clover, SC; Brittany Giles (Jerry) of Ijamsville; Michaela Burall, Meynard Macol, Criselda Rivera (Chuck); and Dinah Cruz (Chris), all of Frederick; 14 great-grandchildren, Bridget Wasko of San Diego, CA; Kyle Lescalleet, Colby Lescalleet, both of Hagerstown; D'Ante Taylor, Shaun Taylor, Jalen Taylor, all of Martinsburg, WV; Kelsey Giles of Ijamsville; Donovan Nemtuda and Abigale Nemtuda, both of Clover, SC; Cassie Rivera, Christian Rivera, Francesca Hubbard, Dylan Cruz and Nikko Macol, all of Frederick.

She was predeceased by her son, David Grayson Burall; three brothers, Howard Mainhart, Lester Mainhart and Robert (Bobby) Mainhart; and one sister, Mary Seiler.

Graveside services will be held at 3:15 pm on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.  Due to COVID protocol face masks must be worn and social distancing will be followed.
