Viola Virginia "Jenny" McCoy Hardey, 77, of 2925 Harpers Ferry Road, Sharpsburg, Md., died Monday, September 29, 2008 at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 18, 1931 near Dargan, Md., she was the daughter of the late Robert Leroy and Lillie Irene Myers McCoy.
She was the former wife of the late William S. Hardey.
She retired from E.J. Fennel Company after 28 years of service.
She was a member of Samples Manor Church of God.
Her relatives surviving are; one sister, Ruth Irene Myers of Sharpsburg; one brother, Ray L. McCoy of Samples Manor; eight nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald L. McCoy.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, P.A. in Boonsboro. The Revs. Michael T. Myers and Kenneth Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the Samples Manor Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
