Vincent Healy Jr.

Vincent Charles “Vinny” Healy Jr. 21 of Thurmont went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday November 16, 2012.
Born on April 20, 1991 in Baltimore he is survived by his loving parents Vincent and Dixie Healy. In addition he is survived by his loving sister Brooke and husband Ryan Burd, niece Rylee and nephew/ godson Evan Burd. Girlfriend Rachel LaChapelle. He will be deeply missed by his family and large circle of friends.
He was a member of Garfield United Methodist Church, Smithsburg where he was active in the youth group. He was a 2009 graduate of Catoctin High School in Thurmont. He was also involved with Fellowship Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of American and the Senior Class Club. He was pursuing an associate degree in Business Administration at Frederick Community College. He was presently employed at Mackey Electric.
Vinny was a Varsity baseball and football athlete, and was honored by the Varsity Football Team with the Dr. Henry Leonard McCorkle Award; this award recognized the athlete for best demonstration of positive team attitude, leadership and team spirit.
He greatly enjoyed four wheeling, motorcycling and snowboarding; he was an instructor at Ski Liberty for the past five years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 20, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 East Main Street, Thurmont. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at the Garfield United Methodist Church, 13628 Stottlemyer Road, Smithsburg, MD 21783. Pastor Jennifer Kokoski will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family request that Memorial Contributions in Vinny’s name be made to the Garfield United Methodist Church Youth Group at the above address.
